Scott Boyle
With my landscape paintings I strive to recreate a sense of place and emotion with shapes, color, and texture, and to display the beauty of the world around us in paintings that represent familiar vistas from North Carolina and beyond. I spend much of my time painting plein air (out-of-doors) to accurately recreate that emotional response cameras cannot capture. I use these small sketches as a guide to create larger paintings back at the studio.
